As an Archive Detective, you'll assist VP of Programming Lynette Steger with research for grants, stories, and PWC programming, diving into historical documents that shaped our club, city, state, and nation.

It’s time to welcome the New Year and pack away the sparkle! Join us as we “un-decorate” the clubhouse and get it ready for another exciting year of programs and events.
Join us for the second 2025 ESO Library Tour as we visit the historic Lincoln-Carnegie Branch Library, a Neoclassical gem built in 1910 with a grant from Andrew Carnegie. Nestled in Lincoln Park, the library stands on the site of Peoria’s early City Cemetery and the former Abner Eads Farm—home to Rebecca Eads, the first American woman settler in Peoria. Open to PWC Epilion Sigma Omicron (ESO) Members and/or Peoria CLSC Members.
Join us at Cafe Santa Rosa to warm up with the Peoria Women’s Club at Mrs. Claus’s Cocoa Creation Station—a festive hot chocolate bar where kids and adults can build their own gourmet cocoa creations with all the toppings! Enjoy the cozy atmosphere at Café Santa Rosa, where Cosecheras Coffee will also be available for purchase.

Members are invited to a special Musical Bridges event, hosted by the Peoria Symphony Orchestra Guild and held at the Peoria Women’s Club. This afternoon's gathering will feature oboist James Kim in advance of the Peoria Symphony Orchestra’s Handel at the Cathedral concert.
Enjoy light refreshments, beautiful music, and conversation in our Club’s historic setting as we celebrate Peoria’s rich musical heritage and the ongoing partnership between the Guild and the Symphony.

Recognized as the nation’s oldest continuous book club, the CLSC is a course that requires registration and a fee paid to Bradley University, part of which supports the national Chautauqua Institution and CLSC graduation fees.
The Peoria CLSC does offer additional events throughout the year for PWC members (as well as OLLI members and guests) that do not require the same fees or prior reading.

Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr. Film Screening at the Peoria Women’s Club
The Peoria Women’s Club, in partnership with the Peoria Area World Affairs Council (PAWAC) at Bradley University, is proud to present a rare screening of Cornelius Vanderbilt Jr.’s 1934 documentary Hitler’s Reign of Terror—one of the earliest American films to warn against Nazi Germany. This event marks only the second U.S. showing since Vanderbilt himself visited the Club in 1939, when he spoke on “Important Interviews on the Eve of War.”

This initiative supports women coffee harvesters in Colombia by funding healthcare, childcare, and sustainable income AND contributes to our club’s efforts to restore our historic 1893 kitchen into a commissary kitchen for women entrepreneurs.

Since our beginning, the Silver Tea has been a beloved gathering of members and friends, offering a moment of reflection, community, and shared purpose. This year’s event will be held Saturday, August 23 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM in the Club’s historic first floor.
