Center for Prevention of Abuse - Volunteer Opportunity (Members only)

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Decorate 20 toiletries bags

  • Fill each bag with deodorant, toothpaste, a toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, a comb or brush, and lotion

The finished toiletries bags will be donated to the Center for Prevention of Abuse to give to survivors as part of their care.

  • Peoria Women's Club members and guests are invited to join Kaycee Connelly and Kara Roll of Moxxy Forensic Investigations for Restoring Identities, a luncheon on using DNA and genealogy to identify unidentified remains and bring answers to the families of the missing.

The Community Baby Shower is an annual event hosted by the University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP) that celebrates community support for both new and experienced parents of children ages 1 to 5. This free, all-in-one event connects families with essential community resources while offering education, food, gifts, and giveaways. By donating vital baby items, volunteers help families access resources that promote children's health and well-being during their crucial early years.
