Peoria RiverFront Market Volunteer Opportunity
Saturday, June 27th, 2026 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Peoria RiverFront Market

Peoria Women’s Club members are invited to volunteer at the Peoria RiverFront Market in partnership with the League of Women Voters.

This special collaboration celebrates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the United States Constitution—a milestone for women’s voting rights—in our nation’s 250th anniversary year. The 19th Amendment was passed by Congress on June 4, 1919, marking a critical step toward securing women’s right to vote nationwide. The program also honors Illinois’ early leadership in the suffrage movement, when in June 1913 the state granted women the right to vote for presidential electors and local offices, helping pave the way for national change. PWC Founder Julia Proctor White was also the first president of the Peoria League of Women Voters.

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Set up the tent at 7:00 a.m.

  • Sell Cosecheras Coffee during market hours (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)

  • Take down the tent at 12:00 p.m.

The market opens to the public at 8:00 a.m. and features an exceptional selection of fresh, locally grown produce, meats, eggs, berries, breads, baked goods, and cheeses. Visitors can also explore a unique assortment of handcrafted goods from local artists, including pottery, jewelry, woodwork, candles, soaps, and more.

Located in the River Station parking lot across from the Peoria Riverfront Museum, the market offers a vibrant community atmosphere with plenty of free parking nearby.

This is a wonderful opportunity to support local producers, celebrate women’s civic leadership, and represent the Peoria Women’s Club in the community.
