Peoria RiverFront Market Volunteer Opportunity (Members only)
Saturday, September 19th, 2026 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Peoria RiverFront Market
Launched on International Women’s Day 2024 in partnership with Café Santa Rosa, Cosecheras—meaning “women harvesters”—supports women coffee producers at Finca Santa Rosa in Cauca, Colombia through healthcare, childcare, and sustainable income opportunities. At the same time, this project supports the Peoria Women’s Club’s restoration of our historic 1893 kitchen into a commissary space for women entrepreneurs.
We are now within striking distance of selling 1,000 bags of coffee, a milestone that will unlock a generous $10,000 donation from Café Santa Rosa owners Marta and Heber Vidal toward this important restoration project.
Volunteers are needed to:
Set up the tent at 7:00 a.m.
Sell Cosecheras Coffee during market hours (8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.)
Take down the tent at 12:00 p.m.
The market opens to the public at 8:00 a.m. and features an exceptional selection of fresh, locally grown produce, meats, eggs, berries, breads, baked goods, and cheeses. Visitors can also explore a unique assortment of handcrafted goods from local artists, including pottery, jewelry, woodwork, candles, soaps, and more.
Located in the River Station parking lot across from the Peoria Riverfront Museum, the market offers a vibrant community atmosphere with plenty of free parking nearby.
This is a wonderful opportunity to support local producers, advance a meaningful global and local initiative, and help the Peoria Women’s Club reach a transformational goal.
