The Ronald McDonald House of Central Illinois opened its Peoria location on December 16, 2019, after three years of planning and construction. The four-story house offers 22 mini-suites, each sleeping up to five guests, where families of children receiving treatment at any area hospital can stay free of charge—including meals. Shared spaces like the kitchen, dining room, game rooms, art studio, and playroom give families a place to reset and recharge so they can be the best advocate for their child, while also connecting with other families facing similar challenges. A specialized wing, the Dax Wing, serves pediatric cancer patients and immunocompromised visitors with separate accommodations.
Volunteers are needed to:
Cook a meal at the House for families currently staying there to enjoy
The Club is also collecting pop tabs to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. PWC members can drop off their pop tabs at the clubhouse at any luncheon.
