PWC Members & Guests Welcome

The Dallinger Series will launch with a special evening featuring author Lorissa Rinehart, whose new book, Winning the Earthquake: How Jeannette Rankin Defied All Odds to Become the First Woman in Congress, brings to life the extraordinary story of Jeannette Rankin—a suffragist, peace activist, and trailblazer who reshaped American political history.

During this engaging conversation, Rinehart will share insights into Rankin’s courage, activism, and enduring legacy—qualities that directly reflect the spirit of the Dallinger Series and its inaugural theme, Honoring Her Legacy: A Celebration of Women’s Voices and Empowerment.

Following the talk, guests will have the opportunity to purchase copies of Winning the Earthquake and participate in an author signing. This kickoff event also serves as an introduction to the broader Dallinger Series, which will feature a themed program each quarter in honor of lifelong learner and Peoria Women's Club member Kathleen (Kathy) Dallinger who left a generous gift in her estate to support Bradley University's OLLI program.

Cost is $10 (plus $5 OLLI quarterly membership for those not enrolled in spring classes).
