The Gilded Gala: 140 Years of Elegance is an evening of candlelight and crystal, of velvet and gold, where the spirit of the 1880s meets a century and a half of progress. Raise a glass, take a turn on the dance floor, and help us write the next chapter of our beloved clubhouse.

A Legacy Worth Restoring
The Gilded Gala is a fundraiser in support of the restoration of the Peoria Women's Club theatre.
Silent since the 1970s, our historic stage once played host to performances, gatherings, and the everyday life of this community. Now, we are restoring it so it may once again welcome Peoria home. Erica Taylor and Nick Dunne – Co-Owners of The 33 Room
Named among USA Today's Bars of the Year for 2026, The 33 Room is bringing its signature flair from Prospect Road in Peoria Heights to our clubhouse. From locally crafted brews to internationally inspired creations, Erica and Nick know how to pour a little "wow" into every glass. This year, they've bottled the spirit of the evening itself in two signature cocktails.
The Gala’s Festivities
Music at the Gala: From ragtime to romance, the evening's soundtrack is being composed to carry you through 140 years of rhythm. From 5:45-7:00pm, enjoy live music from the Lea Tanton Jazz Coterie of Blue Silhouette Events. And from then on, enjoy hits spanning decades mixed by DJ Scantron.
The Gala’s Menu: Your evening is catered by Leah Ratcliff, who’s providing you with:
A seasonal charcuterie display
Italian sausage stuffed mushrooms
Mushroom truffle arancini
Maple glazed and bacon wrapped shrimp
Cranberry infused bbq meatballs
Beef tenderloin crostini
Small bites of pumpkin cheesecake shooters, chocolate pecan dessert bars, and caramel apple pie bites.

Wondering what to wear?
Dress in your finest from any era across our 140-year history. Gentlemen, don a sharp tuxedo or suit, finished with a pocket square or a gleam of cufflinks. Ladies, embrace timeless glamour in a floor-length gown with a daring slit, or a vintage cocktail dress that could have stepped straight out of the club's early days.

There are tons of parking options available around the clubhouse. There is street parking, a parking lot next to Northwestern Mutual, a parking lot next to the Knell Law Office, a lot across the street from Obed & Isaacs, and at the 222 NE Monroe St. Parking Lot.

Yes! The Four Points by Sheraton is just across the street for our clubhouse.
