Join us for a luncheon at PWC and program with Connie Romanus, President of the League of Women Voters, about Suffragette history & ways to be an informed voter and mis/dis information.

Connie Romanus is a Peoria native, a graduate of Bergan High School and OSF St. Francis College of Nursing. She worked in health care for over 40 years, retiring in 2015. She has been a member of the League of Women Voters since 2016 and served on Voter Services and Drinks and Dialogue programs, as well as 6 years on the Board of Directors and currently President of the local league. She was attracted to the League by attending candidate forums. Belonging to the League has allowed her to be involved with voter registration, especially at Naturalization ceremonies, and collaborating with other local organizations locally, such as NAACP, Sierra Club and ACLU. When not involved with public service, she enjoys spending time with family. She also enjoys reading, gardening and getting sand between my toes in Lake Michigan!
