In collaboration with the Peoria Women’s Club, OLLI invites you to join the Peoria Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle. Considered the oldest continuous book club in the United States, the Chautauqua Literary and Scientific Circle (CLSC) was founded in 1878 to “promote habits of reading and study in nature, art, science, and in secular and sacred literature.”
This is the fourth class series offered toward national CLSC graduation, but new members can start anytime. We’ve picked three of Chautauqua Institute's annual book selections, including one from Summer 2023.
